Experiential, Inc. Reviews the Top Canned Foods for Company Drive

The holidays mean many things to different cultures and backgrounds, but one thing we can all agree is the holidays mean a delicious meal. The team at Experiential, Inc. knows that this isn’t always easy for individuals, but they are doing everything they can to make sure families in need get a holiday meal this year. Experiential, Inc. is hosting an annual canned food drive now through the end of the month and are taking non-perishable donations in office.

“We can’t put a turkey in the box, but stuffing, cranberries, and mashed potatoes are my favorite and at least I can share those,” stated Brittany, an executive at Experiential, Inc. “Our goal is to make sure no matter who you are you have a warm meal for the holidays.” Cleaning out cabinets at home was the first task, but the team also took advantage of store sales to fill up their canned food drive boxes in the office.

When considering a food drive or making a charitable donation to a cause for the holidays, always consider what staples are most needed. The firm’s president recently shared an article from tasteofhome.com showcasing the 20 Items Food Banks Need the Most (and 3 Things to Skip). “The top of the list surprised me: applesauce, canned beans, and canned chicken. Not things you would consider part of a ‘Holiday’ meal, but it is what our neighbors really need.”

Ending out the list were 3 things to avoid: Junk Food, Items with glass or cellophane packaging, and things that need can openers. “I didn’t even consider a pop top can over one that requires kitchen tools, but when you have very little these small details matter the most,” stated Jamie, a campaign manager. “Growing up our family would deliver meals during the holidays, but to now be part of an organization that values community involvement as an adult is a major plus.”
